Alchemy is the medieval predecessor to chemistry: a search to perfect certain substances and to create a magical ‘elixir of life.’ The closest thing we’ve found to a universal cure is a phenomenal wine and we hope you enjoy this one. Our Alchemy is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufränkisch and Merlot. This dry red wine has black cherry notes, firm oak and hints of pepper. Enjoy a glass on its own or with a wide variety of hearty meat dishes, rich cheeses, and tomato-based Italian cuisine.

Reminiscent of Burgundy, this red blend from Hunt Wines smelled great in the glass! We really liked the smells of earth, spices, and yes, barnyard! It sounds odd, but that description drives home the rustic earthy smells from the wine. The mouthfeel was very good--a bit on the drier side. We tasted black peppercorns, black cherries, and fresh herbs. The wine had an overall vegetal taste. The oak flavors were perfect, not too much, not too little. Very solid wine that will pair well with food or on its own!

A classic finger lake blended red with hints of pepper, dark chocalate and black cherry overtones. Oak was definitly apparent to the nose but just subtle enough to enjoy without the heavy scent like many medium bodied reds. A nice sipping wine with foods such as stews, lighter meat dishes and salmon.

This is a wonderful, versatile wine. Whether I'm looking to simply relax at the end of a long day with a glass of wine, or searching for an all-purpose wine to pair with a hearty vegetarian meal with friends, Alchemy always seems to fit the bill.

Amazing bottle of red for any occasion... Recently served this at a large gathering and people could not stop raving about it. A definite crowd pleaser.

Millie and I visited Hunt Country Vineyards 4 years ago. Millie's maiden name is Hunt so there was an immediate affinity for the place. I tried the Alchemy then and have been an evangelist ever since.

You will not find a better red wine at this price point from a NYS winery. Medium body, well balanced with silky mouth weight.
