$100 per participant: Includes instruction, all materials, and one glass of Hunt Country wine.

Pressed fauna impressions in fresh clay

   Wow your friends with your very own handmade pottery charcuterie board using clay and items from nature.

   Walk Hunt Country's scenic vineyards to collect natural fauna or treasures to press into your creation.

   This "make-it-take-it" workshop is designed for all skill levels.  Artist Beth Conway of The heART Studio will take you through the creative process, and share her skills.

   Get creative, play with clay, and sip some wine!

Workshop Overview:

The workshop will be held in Hunt Country's historic barn.
Each participant will be provided with the clay, materials, glazes, and tools needed to complete their project.
Participants can walk the Hunt Country grounds to collect natural specimens for pressing into the clay.
OR, you are welcome to bring your own items to create texture: Flowers and leaves from your own garden...  Printing stamps...  Fabric, lace, keys, buttons, feathers...  Sooo many possibilities!!!

Registration includes one glass of wine to be enjoyed in tandem with creating your masterpiece.
OR, if you would rather wait to imbibe, you are welcome to enjoy your glass of wine after class in our tasting room.
Additional wines by the glass or bottle, wine tastings, local beer and picnic snacks are available for purchase.  
We will have LIVE MUSIC by Davey O in the tasting room from 1:30pm to 4pm as well.

Retrieving the Finished Product:

Beth Conway will bring all pieces back to her studio for firing.
Complete works returned to Hunt Country Vineyards on August 17, 2024.
Just let us know when you want to return to pick them up after that date.

About Beth Conway and The heART Studio:

Beth Conway is a native to the area and has a background in Environmental Science and Ceramic Research.  She and her husband opened a hands-on art studio for the community near Corning in 2021.  Using the "Start where you are, use what you have, and do what you can" concept to converted their garage space to The heART Studio.  She continues to expand the studio and loves collaborating with other small businesses and members of the community to enrich the lives of others through art.
