Alchemy combines the best of Old World and New World grapes in a dry red wine with a touch of spice. We start with a rich blend of classic Bordeaux (vinifera) red grapes: Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. We then blend in a small amount of Noiret, a grape developed by Cornell University agronomists from both French and American ancestry, that adds a light peppery note to the finish. The result is a wine with backbone, complexity and character.  Alchemy is 100% grown and produced in New York.  Serve at cool room temperature.

Reminiscent of Burgundy, this red blend from Hunt Wines smelled great in the glass! We really liked the smells of earth, spices, and yes, barnyard! It sounds odd, but that description drives home the rustic earthy smells from the wine. The mouthfeel was very good--a bit on the drier side. We tasted black peppercorns, black cherries, and fresh herbs. The wine had an overall vegetal taste. The oak flavors were perfect, not too much, not too little. Very solid wine that will pair well with food or on its own!

A classic finger lake blended red with hints of pepper, dark chocalate and black cherry overtones. Oak was definitly apparent to the nose but just subtle enough to enjoy without the heavy scent like many medium bodied reds. A nice sipping wine with foods such as stews, lighter meat dishes and salmon.
